JSP Engages METI in Strategic Dialogue on Japan’s Sports Policy Landscape
Tokyo, Japan — Japan Stadium Partners (JSP) announced today that Managing Partner Masa Takeya visited the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for an information exchange session focused on Japan’s evolving support framework for the sports sector.
During the visit, Masa met with senior leadership at METI’s Sports Industry Office to review national initiatives designed to strengthen Japan’s sports ecosystem. Discussions centered on policy mechanisms that expand private sector engagement and reinforce the role of sports as a growth industry within the broader economy.
The meeting also included representatives from a major Japanese corporation and a leading global professional sports organization. Their identities remain confidential due to ongoing strategic dialogue.
Masa Takeya underscored JSP’s role in connecting domestic institutions with global partners:
“Japan’s sports sector is entering a phase where policy, capital, and global expertise must come together with precision. Our session at METI demonstrated the government’s commitment to positioning sports as a strategic industry. It also highlighted the need for coordinated collaboration among Japanese corporates and world-class teams. JSP intends to help align these interests with clear execution discipline.”
JSP will continue working with government agencies, leading Japanese companies, and international partners as part of its mission to elevate Japan’s sports and entertainment infrastructure.
